The hotel is in a good location all things considered, the walk up to Pah Pong isn't too far and there are plenty of stall along the way to distract. Some parts of the walk at night are a little dark though. The room was huge with a massive fridge (although the mini bar contents fill most of it). However, the room itself seemed a little dated, you got the impression it would have look really nice 20 years ago but now is a little run down. Breakfast was nice. Rooftop restaurant has a nice view, but a very limited menu Can't say I'd seek it out next time I went back, but as a last minute choice I wasn't too disappointed.

I found this hotel just about what I was looking for. The best thing for me is the room, very large and more like suites with a mini kitchinette, fridge and sink. Facilities are pretty good. The location is reasonably close to the SkyTrain and it is just a walk up Silom Road to Patpong for the night market and nightlife.

Stayed in junior suite which is 80 square meters. Has kitchen, lounge, ensuite bathroom and guest toilet. Excellent room. Spotlessly clean. We booked through sawadee.com and paid half price of rack rate (2900 bht) Great value. Buffet breakfast was excellent with huge range of western and asian food. The location is geat. Five min walk to skyrail, buses at doorstep and ten min walk to pattong market. After reading previous reviews i must say that the new management is great. Maybe the smaller rooms are different. One down side is that there was no internet access in the room, however wifi in lobby.

"“Ok for the money.....”"   by OZDAVE

I stayed at the Tower Inn for 2 nites from September 24th. My Bangkok stopover was a last minute decsion. I booked the hotel on arrival at Tom Travel in arrivals area at the airport. Turning up without prebooked accommodation is probably not a good idea and thus leaves you at the mercy of the hotel booking agents. I have been to Bangkok many times as knew the area would be ok. I paid for executive room incl breakfast which looked nice in the agents foto album but things never appear like the fotos. The lobby area is all very nice and shiney and check in staff fine. Room was the end of a long corridor on the 11th floor. My room was large for 1 person with a king size bed mini bar and large sofa which has seen better days. My only real complaint was the air conditioning unit sounded like a convoy of trucks. As there are no open windows the choice is suffocate and put it on. I didn't sleep well. Breakfast great with all the usual choices but seemed to be spread out all ovet the restaurant. And yes.. There seems to be the option of an overnite guest for a addtional charge.. In summary my rates equaled A$75.00 per nite. So I think i got value for money. On my next visit I would probably go back to belaire princess or accros the road to the silom village...

How 'bout the Unico Grande Silom (formerly Tower Inn)? Very nice hotel with large bright rooms. Beautiful pool and roof garden restaurant with panoramic views. Nice breakfast buffet included. Not far from Skytrain.
