We stayed in the Krunthep Wing and it was fantastic. The Shangri La is literally walking distance from the Oriental & the Sheratonand has its own pier from which you can hire longtail water taxis & book canal boat tours. Aslo if a river view while eating is important, I'd probably recommend the Sala Thai restaurant.

The view of the River and city was excellent. The riverside restaurant was most enjoyable. Excellent food. Night time river cruise booked through hotel was best I've seen. The location of the hotel on the river affords a great view of the river and the city. The staff was excellent in all respects, from check in to check out. The desk clerk showed us where everything in the room was and was most conscientious in ensuring we were aware of the amenities available throughout the hotel, as well as availability of the riverside restaurant and river cruise. Will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend it. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The recommendation for the riverside dining and river cruise were excellent ideas and most enjoyable.
