Pure luxury, exceptional service, amazing spa and dining...
This is possibly the nicest hotel on Earth. The rooms are spacious, gracious,immaculate and beautifully furnished. Fresh fruit and water delivered daily, along with a newspaper. The service is exceptional throughout the hotel and the restaurants. From the greeter who meets you at the front door upon your arrival and then checks you in from your room so that you do not have to wait on line at the front desk, to the helpful breakfast staff, who make suggestions regarding daily wanderings, everyone there makes an effort to insure that your stay is enjoyable. Dinner at the upscale river-side restaurant, surrounded by the most spectacular orchids, is complete paradise. Reeserve a water-side table early though because they are the best seats! We are not spa regulars, however, we treated ourselves to the spa and enjoyed every minute. We loved the hotel so much that we found it difficult to leave the hotel to sight see, but having travelled half way around the globe to get there we felt compelled to see the rest of Bangkok!
Shopping Tip : Don't miss out on finding a tailor! The hotel staff will help you find a quality tailor. Once measured, you can continue to order additional items by email -- at a fraction of the US prices and better fitted! Beware of tour operators who steer you to particular stores, where they receive 10-15% of everything that you spend!!!
